The works to complete the Cole Green Way resurfacing have now been delayed until 20th September 2021 when we expect the route to be completely closed for 5 weeks. It is possible you may be able to get past the works on the byway and footpath to the south of the old railway, but not when the section of the Cole Green Way through the riding school is being worked on. Be prepared to use the B158 Lower Hatfield Road.
The map below shows the works being undertaken and the materials being used. Asphalt on the old railway section along with works on the drainage will, we hope, see an end to the mudbaths which make riding this section unpleasent after rain.
