Instead of the September news email I went cycling

By | 22nd September 2018

Firstly an apology for not getting out a September news email to members.

However, I hope my sort of excuse is acceptable.  You see Freddy and I went cycling for a week from Hatfield and ended up in Penrith via the Peak District and Manchester.  When we were on the Hatfield Healthfest stall our Secretary David pointed out that I really should share this  story (and the link to the blog) so, here’s a couple of photos from the Peak District day:

This is the tunnel at Ashbourne at the start of the Tissington Trail, 15 miles of uninterrupted cycle path which tops out at Parsley Hay, seen below.

The full story can be found in our blog on the wonderful Crazy Guy on a Bike website: http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/HatfieldtoKendal

And in case you are wondering about the bike, here is our Circe Helios loaded with our bags and tent:

About Adam Edwards

Adam Edwards is the current chair of WelHatCycling. As a parent of two what matters most to him is utility cycling: getting to school, work, the shops, etc. He is particularly keen on group rides which involve cake. With his youngest child, he's ridden all the way from Hatfield to Edinburgh on a tandem.
